Chicago, Illinois continued it’s descent into violent chaos this past weekend with a series of shootings that left 4 dead and 10 injured.

The Chicago Tribune reported that four people were killed and ten were injured in shootings between Saturday and Sunday morning.

Two men were killed and a third was injured at around 12:30am Sunday on a sidewalk Edgewater. Two of the victims were 28 and 32 years-old, and they were walking on the sidewalk when a gunman opened fire from a dark-colored SUV. The younger man was shot in the head and died of his wounds, while the older was shot in the leg and survived.

Minutes later, a 22 year-old man walked into Community First Medical Center with a gunshot wound in his left torso. He could not say where he had been shot, but it was later found that he was also shot during the Edgewater shooting. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at 8:43 a.m Sunday morning.

At 10:30pm Sunday, police found a 36-year-old man in the driver’s seat of a black Yukon with gunshot wounds to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the country, but this has done nothing to stop the surging crime rate there. SHARE this if you think something MUST be done about the violence in Chicago!
