JUST IN: US State Department Issues SHOCKING Travel Alert – IT’S HAPPENING

The U.S. government made a surprising announcement this week when it temporarily banned most electronics on certain flights into and out of the country.

The Hill reported that on Monday, Royal Jordanian wrote on Twitter, that “following instructions from the concerned U.S. departments, we kindly inform our dearest passengers departing to and arriving from the United States that carrying any electronic or electrical device on board the flight cabins is strictly prohibited.”

Though this tweet was eventually deleted, the State Department confirmed that affected countries and airlines are being informed of the ban. The ban reportedly does not apply to to cell phones or medical devices. However, it does include laptops, tablets, electronic games and cameras. If people are traveling with one of these banned items, they can simply place them in checked baggage and stow them under the plane.

The State Department will likely officially announce this ban later on Tuesday.

“We have no comment on potential security precautions, but will provide any update as appropriate,” a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security said on Monday.

It appears that the ban applies to 13 countries for the next 96 hours, and it may have been issued in response to a specific intelligence threat.
