Beloved Fox News host Gerri Willis has spent the past year bravely battling breast cancer. While she only recently concluded her final treatment, rumors are swirling that she did not beat cancer as many of us prayed that she would.
Conservative 101 reported that new reports suggest that despite what Willis has said, she actually has not beaten cancer. However, it’s a testament to Willis’ strength and courage that she recently returned to the Fox Business Network to appear without her wig.
“It’s been a real journey,” Willis said. “I had a mastectomy of my right breast…I then went into chemotherapy—eight treatments over four months. The ‘red devil,’ which is the really caustic chemotherapy, then Taxol. Then after that, I had breast reconstruction and then finally five weeks of daily treatments.”
She went on to talk about what it was like for her to lose her hair.
“That was the second chemotherapy and it fell out after that. A little note to self if this ever happens to you—just shave your head, to begin with, because pulling your hair out in lumps is a real drag…My priority is getting better, who cares about my hair,” Willis recounted. “If you are worried about this…I know a lot of people who stay away from the mammogram for that reason alone… you have to take care of yourself.”
Please pray that Willis can beat this horrific disease! We love you, Gerri Willis!
