Millions of Americans are in mourning today after legendary comedian Don Rickles passed away of kidney failure. He was 90 years-old.
Daily Mail reported that Rickles was at his Los Angeles home when he died and was survived by his wife Barbara, who he was married to for over 50 years, and his daughter Mindy. He was predeceased by a son Larry, who passed away in 2011.
Born in New York City, Rickles served as a seaman first class in World War II. After the war, he decided to become an actor and studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He turned to comedy in the 1950s, and would go on to become a legend in the medium.
