Tension has been escalating between the U.S. and North Korea at a truly alarming rate over the past few weeks.
On Thursday, Donald Trump dropped the largest non-nuclear bomb in history on an ISIS encampment in Afghanistan, killing 36 terrorists. Now, reports are coming in that Trump is preparing a strike on North Korea this weekend, should they move forward with their next nuclear test.
Allen B. West reported that the U.S. is preparing to launch a preemptive strike on North Korea on Saturday should officials become convinced that North Korea is about to follow through with a nuclear weapons test.
“Two things are coming together this weekend,” said retired Adm. James Stavridis, former commander of NATO. “One is the distinct possibility of a sixth North Korean nuclear weapons detonation and the other is an American carrier strike group, a great deal of firepower headed right at the Korean Peninsula.”
Trump has been in conversations with Chinese president Xi Jinping twice since their meeting in Florida last week, and China has sent its top nuclear negotiators to North Korea to inform the regime just how serious this situation is. If they are successful in their negotiations, the U.S. will not have to launch a strike. However, if North Korea will not cooperate, Trump will have no choice but to act.
I have great confidence that China will properly deal with North Korea. If they are unable to do so, the U.S., with its allies, will! U.S.A.
