On Thursday evening, President Donald Trump responded to the chemical terrorist attack that left nearly 100 people dead in Syria by launching an airstrike on a Syrian airbase.
While Trump’s airstrike was on Syria, insiders are saying that the president was really trying to send a message to North Korea.
“We are working diplomatically, including with those that we might be able to enlist in this effort to get North Korea under control. But right now it appears to be going in a very reckless manner,” Secretary of Defense James Mattis said a few weeks ago. “That’s got to be stopped.”
After North Korea launched their latest missile test this week, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson released a statement letting the world know that Trump’s America means business.
“North Korea launched yet another intermediate range ballistic missile,” the statement read, according to CNN. “The United States has spoken enough about North Korea. We have no further comment.”
