Anthony Weiner Accepts 27 MONTH PRISON SENTENCE

Disgraced New York Congressman Anthony Weiner broke down in court on Friday as he entered a plea of guilty to a single charge of transferring obscene material to a minor.

“I have a sickness, but I do not have an excuse,” Weiner told the court as he agreed to accept any prison sentence of less than 27 months and register as a sex offender.

Daily Mail reported that this came eight months after it was revealed that Weiner, who is married to Hillary Clinton’s former top aide Huma Abedin, had been exchanging sexually-charged messages and explicit photos with a 15-year-old high school student in North Carolina. He reportedly sent the texts and images to the minor female after she reached out to him on Twitter.

Prosecutors have recommended that Weiner be sentenced to two years in prison and be forced to register as a sex offender.

“I don’t know if it’s justice,” said the father of the victim. “I don’t know what the sentence is gonna be. I would like to see, is [the sentence] fair or not fair? Just because he’s pleading guilty doesn’t mean he’s going to do a bit of time.”

Though Abedin separated from Weiner after these new allegations came to light, she is now reportedly “working hard” to save the couple’s marriage. Sources say that Abedin remains “in love” with Weiner, blaming the “pressures of the campaign and presidential race and him drifting off into obscurity” for his latest relapse.
